COVID-19: 7,316 new infections in Poland, active cases falling

The Health Ministry announced 7,316 new confirmed COVID-19 infections in Poland, increasing the total number of cases recorded in the country 3,111,534 including 280,449 still active. The number of active cases was 282,148 yesterday.

The ministry also announced three new fatalities, all of them from COVID-19 alone. The death toll in the country rose to 77,760.

According to the ministry, a total of 351,367 people are quarantined and 2,753,325 have recovered from COVID-19 in the country so far. As it stands, there are still 280,449 active cases of the coronavirus in Poland.


As of Monday, a total of 39,469,339 vaccine doses have been administered and 20,059,964 people have been fully vaccinated.

The number of occupied ventilators amounts to 872 out of 1,430 available.

As of Monday morning, as many as 250,714,165 coronavirus cases, 5,066,878 deaths and 226,939,594 recoveries have been confirmed worldwide.

The US remains the country with the largest number of confirmed coronavirus cases, amounting to 47,336,577. India has the second most with 34,366,614 cases and Brazil third with 21,880,439.
