COVID-19: Minister to recommend wearing masks indoor during summer holidays

“I will recommend wearing the masks indoors, at least during the summer holidays,” Adam Niedzielski, the Health Minister, said in an interview with the Polish Press Agency (PAP).

The Minister emphasised that despite a clear decrease in the number of new daily COVID-19 infections in Poland, all restrictions should not be completely lifted immediately. He stressed that now, first of all, it is necessary to “closely observe what will happen with the pandemic.”

He was referring to the COVID-19 pandemic in the UK, where there had been a large decrease in cases and the situation suddenly changed.

Adam Niedzielski pointed out that one needs to get used to the fact that the pandemic continues. He noted, however, that “those vaccinated may be excluded from some restrictions.”
