All vaccination registration channels operational – official

The system for registering for a coronavirus vaccine is up and running after a partial breakdown, a top government official said on Friday.

Michal Dworczyk, the prime minister’s chief of staff, said the system’s faults had been repaired overnight from Thursday to Friday, and said that vaccination registrations will now continue unhindered.

“Yesterday we had problems with the registration system, which is why parts of it had to be suspended,” Dworczyk told a press conference. “I wish to apologise for this once more. We managed to get the system going before midnight, and all registration channels are now operational.”

Due to a system failure on Thursday, about 600,000 people from the 40-59 age group who had declared themselves willing to get a vaccination, were incorrectly given vaccination dates in April instead of May.

As a result the system had to be suspended for several hours.

Dworczyk said all the misregistered persons have since been notified via SMS about their changed vaccination dates. He added that the registration system would then contact them automatically and offer dates in May.

He added that 500,000 vaccinations planned for May for people over 60 will be moved to April.

Dworczyk said the government hopes all persons over 60 will be vaccinated by the end of April.
