Poland recorded 20,870 new confirmed coronavirus cases and 461 deaths over the past 24h to Tuesday morning, against 16,965 cases reported on Monday, data released by the Health Ministry shows.
The healthcare system is now handling 31,071 Covid-19 hospitalisations, up from 29,920 recorded the day prior, including 3,054 patients on ventilators, against the total of 3,889 ventilators available, the Health Ministry said on Twitter. Poland currently has over 9,100 free beds for new Covid patients.
The health ministry also reported that 454,738 people are under quarantine. So far, 1,848,199 people have recovered.
In all, 5,963,933 Poles have already received jabs against Covid-19, with 2,002,394 of those having had both doses of the vaccine, according to data posted on the official government website, gov.pl.
