COVID-19: 29,253 new cases in Poland

The Health Ministry announced 29,253 new confirmed COVID-19 infections in Poland, increasing the total number of cases recorded in the country to 2,250,991
including 400,185 still active.

The ministry also announced 131 new fatalities, of which 36 were due to COVID-19 alone and 95 from COVID-19 and concurrent diseases. The death toll in Poland went up to 51,884.

According to the ministry, 446,762 people are quarantined and 1,798,992 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the country so far. As it stands, there are still 400,185 active cases of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in Poland.

A total of 5,845,811 people have been vaccinated so far. The number of occupied ventilators amounts to 2,894 out of 3,716 available.

As of Saturday morning, as many as 127,379,340 coronavirus cases, 2,790,905 deaths and 102,664,457 recoveries have been confirmed worldwide.

The US remains the country with the largest number of confirmed coronavirus cases, amounting to 30,917,142, Brazil has the second most with 12,490,362 cases and India third with 11,971,624.
