Dogs to help help uncover COVID-19 infections

Four specially trained dogs will be used to help detect COVID-19 infections, the National Revenue Administration announced on Monday.

The dogs, normally used by the revenue administration’s special teams to sniff out contraband and illegal goods, will undergo an eight-week training course to get their noses familiar with the smell of COVID-19.

The project is a joint venture run by the Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences and researchers from the National Veterinary School of Alfort, France.
