COVID-19: Restrictions for Easter depend on social behaviour: official

The level of restrictions in force over Easter depends on the degree to which people follow the rules, the government’s Plenipotentiary for the National Vaccination Programme has said.

Michał Dworczyk stressed that it is still too early to talk about the restrictions for Easter because they depend on the results of consultations between experts and doctors. He added the government would like them to not be “too severe.”

“How Easter will look depends a bit on us,” he said on public television. “If we adhere to discipline and the regulations, there is a chance that there will be fewer cases, and then no additional, restrictive regulations will be needed.”

Mr Dworczyk added that the government aims to complete the vaccination of teachers and health workers within the next two weeks.

He also announced that over 740,000 new doses of Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines arrived in Poland on Monday.
