Poland’s Covid-19 reproduction rate at 1.19 – minister

Adam Niedzielski told a press conference on Monday that there is a constant upward trend of Covid-19 infections and added that last week's average daily infection rate was close to 10,000.

Poland’s reproduction rate that indicates the average number of people each Covid-19 positive person can infect stands at 1.19, Poland’s health minister announced on Monday.

Adam Niedzielski told a press conference on Monday that there is a constant upward trend of Covid-19 infections and added that last week’s average daily infection rate was close to 10,000.

According to the health minister last week’s figures showed a 33 percent increase from the preceding week, He warned that with the reproduction rate at 1.19 infections would probably continue to rise.

Earlier on Monday the health ministry reported that 14,929 Covid-19 patients were currently hospitalised.
