Poland’s unemployment rate went up to 6.5 percent in January 2020 from 6.2 percent recorded in the previous month, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) said on Tuesday.

The number of registered unemployed people increased to 1,090,400 in January from 1,046,400 in December, GUS said.

The Family and Labour Ministry earlier correctly predicted that January’s unemployment rate would rise to 6.5 percent.
