Michał Dworczyk, the head of the Polish Prime Minister’s Office announced that he has contracted COVID-19.
“Due to the positive result of the COVID-19 test, I will work remotely for the near future”, he wrote on Twitter.
“Let’s follow the sanitary rules and get vaccinated!”, added the minister, who is also the government’s plenipotentiary for vaccination.
On Monday, the Health Ministry announced 3,890 new confirmed COVID-19 infections in Poland, increasing the total number of cases recorded in the country to 1,642,658 including 216,097 still active.
The death toll in Poland currently stands at 42,188.
