The 100 richest Poles have grown richer, but their combined fortunes are still only a third of what the CEO of Amazon and the world’s wealthiest man Jeff Bezos has, according to a weekly.
Poland’s 100 richest people have a combined worth of PLN 153 billion (USD 40 bn, EUR 36.6 bn), up by PLN 10 bn compared to last year’s ranking, the Wprost news magazine reported on Monday.
Polish business mogul Michał Sołowow is the country’s richest man for the second year running with a net worth of PLN 12.1 bn, Wprost said.
Media baron Zygmunt Solorz-Żak took second place with an estimated fortune of PLN 10.1 billion.
The Kulczyk siblings Dominika and Sebastian, children of the late Polish energy tycoon Jan Kulczyk, were in joint third place, each with a net worth of PLN 7 billion (USD 1.8 bn, EUR 1.6 bn).
