Industrial production in Poland grew 9.2 percent in April compared with the same month last year, the country’s Central Statistical Office (GUS) said on Wednesday.
The reading was higher than forecast by analysts, who had expected an increase of 8.7 percent, Poland’s PAP news agency reported.
In month-on-month terms, industrial production in April was 3.6 percent lower than in March, the Central Statistical Office said.
In March, Polish industrial production grew 5.6 percent in year-on-year terms, the statistics office reported last month.
