Builder sought for Polish pavilion at Dubai Expo

The Polish Investment and Trade Agency is looking for a company to build the country’s pavilion at the Expo 2020 in Dubai.

The design for the pavilion by the Warsaw-based WXCA architectural studio was unveiled in October and is inspired by the migration of birds for which Poland is an important breeding ground.

“Our national pavilion will resemble the structure of a bird’s nest,” Marta Sękulska-Drońska from WXCA said last year.

The pavilion will stand in the part of the exhibition dedicated to human mobility, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported last year.

A total of 180 organisations and countries including Poland will be present at the world fair in the United Arab Emirates.

The motto of the Dubai expo is “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future.”

The fair is due to run from October 2020 to April 2021.
