Polish inflation at 1.2% in February: stats office

Inflation in Poland stood at 1.2 percent in February in year-on-year terms, rising from 0.7 percent in January, the country’s Central Statistical Office (GUS) said on Friday.

The statistics office has revised its system of weights used for calculating the consumer price index in 2019, Poland’s PAP news agency reported.

The Central Statistical Office had previously estimated that inflation in January was 0.9 percent.

In December, the prices of consumer goods and services in Poland were 1.1 percent higher than in the same month a year earlier, according to the Central Statistical Office.

Inflation in November stood at 1.3 percent year on year.
