Polish retail sales up in January: stats office

Retail sales in Poland rose 6.6 percent in January compared with the same month a year earlier, the country’s Central Statistical Office (GUS) said on Thursday.

The figure is for current prices. In constant prices, retail sales in Poland rose 5.2 percent year-on-year.

Meanwhile, production in the construction and assembly sector increased by 3.2 percent year-on-year in January, the office said.
