Judicial reforms consulted

Andrzej Duda

President Andrzej Duda consulted his proposed judicial reforms with all parliamentary caucuses last week.

Officials of the governing party Law and Justice (PiS) called the meeting “useful.” The atmosphere of the meeting was good, a presidential chancellery insider told Rzeczpospolita daily.

During the meeting with main opposition party Civic Platform (PO), Duda assured that he is ready to veto the bills if PiS amends the bills in Parliament to match prior PiS legislation which Duda vetoed, PO leader Grzegorz Schetyna said following the meeting.

Anti-establishment grouping Kukiz’15 officials were satisfied with the talks as many proposals Duda presented are in line with their postulates, caucus officials said.
